Adam Shatzkes received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematical Sciences from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2007. He then attended law school at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, receiving his Juris Doctor Degree in 2010. While attending law school, Mr. Shatzkes had internships with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office and a Judicial Internship with the Honorable Justice Emily Pines at the Suffolk County Supreme Court. Additionally, he had a clinical externship through the Stony Brook Center for Biotechnology. Mr. Shatzkes was a member of the Touro Law Review resulting in the publication of his article: The Destruction of an Empire: Will Viacom End YouTube’s Reign?, 26 TOURO L. REV. 287 in 2010.
Mr. Shatzkes was admitted to practice in the State of New York, Second Department in 2011 and was later admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York in December, 2017. Following his admission to practice he worked as an Associate with the firm of Lindsay P. Henry, P.C. As an Associate he handled matters in a number of practice fields with a focus on criminal and traffic law. After 7 years, he left to practice law with the firm of Jakubowski, Robertson, Maffei, Goldsmith & Tartaglia. In his current role, he works in a number of legal areas including landlord/tenant and commercial/civil litigation with an emphasis on criminal defense and real estate.
Mr. Shatzkes is an active member of the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
