Alexandra T. Sanchez is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2016. During college, she participated in the Assembly Session Internship Program where she interned directly under now-Congresswoman, Nicole Malliotakis of New York’s 11th district. After college, Ms. Sanchez attended Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where she earned a Juris Doctor Degree in May of 2020.
During her time in law school, Ms. Sanchez participated in different student groups where she gained extensive legal experience. After receiving a CALI Award for the Best Oral Advocate in her Legal Process course, she was extended an offer to join the Touro Law Center Moot Court Honor Society where she participated in two national competitions. Ms. Sanchez was also offered membership into the Honors Program and the Touro Law Review where she published her article, “FOSTA: A Necessary Step in Advancement of the Women’s Rights Movement.” Touro Law Review: Vol. 36 : No. 2 , Article 11.
Ms. Sanchez also interned at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office as well as two other private law firms while in law school. During her last semester, she gained valuable experience in the Touro Law Child Advocacy Clinic where she served pro bono as an advocate for children.
After graduation, Ms. Sanchez began her career as a term Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Magali M. François in the Bergen County Superior Court, Family Division. As a Law Clerk, Ms. Sanchez assisted with numerous claims, some of which included enforcement of divorce agreements, property division, child support, custody, visitation, juvenile delinquency, abuse and neglect, special immigration juvenile proceedings, and adoption.
After Ms. Sanchez’s term as a Judicial Law Clerk ended, she began working at Jakubowski, Robertson, Maffei, Goldsmith & Tartaglia, LLP. Ms. Sanchez was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2021, and will be concentrating her practice in the firm’s general litigation department as well as personal injury and estate practice.
Ms. Sanchez was raised in Clearwater, Florida until she moved to Long Island at age 16. She currently resides in Port Jefferson Station with her boyfriend and her dog, Mia.
