Driver Loses Control of Pickup, Collides with Numerous Parked Vehicles in Selden

A pair of men were transported to the hospital for treatment on the evening of Saturday, February 15 after a driver in a Dodge Ram pickup in Selden lost control of his vehicle, ultimately colliding with and causing damage to a dozen parked vehicles in the area.

According to Suffolk County police, the driver of the truck was heading west on Middle Country Road at North Evergreen Drive, when suddenly he lost control of the vehicle and hit a 2014 Subaru. After leaving the road way, he hit a few more vehicles in the parking lot of an Autoland USA dealership, with a dozen total vehicles sustaining damage.

Police were out in response to the accident at about 8:45 p.m. The driver of the pickup and a passenger had to be transported to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The Subaru driver was not injured in the accident.

Drivers who leave the roadway are responsible

Drivers are responsible for maintaining control over their vehicles, staying on the roadway and obeying all traffic laws. A failure to remain on the road will most likely result in the driver being held liable for any accidents they cause as a result.
