Community Outreach from a Law Firm that Cares about the People of Long Island
Investing in our people to build a stronger future
Jakubowski, Robertson, Maffei, Goldsmith & Tartaglia, LLP recently awarded five scholarships to local students for their commitment to community service. Our firm has provided these scholarships since 2007 and they are personally distributed by our partners on the awards nights of area high schools. This tradition was created to reward students who assist those less fortunate than themselves. The young people who receive these scholarships are truly inspiring to each of us.
Working with local organizations to help those in need
Firm partner Frank M. Maffei Jr. was recently named to the Board of the Rollstone Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization providing financial assistance to families that are willing to adopt children with special needs. Many of these children have severely debilitating medical conditions and can get a chance at a better life through the compassion of willing parents. Rollstone raises money through various charitable events and uses one hundred percent of those funds to help offset the expense of adopting these children.
Mr. Maffei is also a former president of The Lions Club of The Islips and currently serves on the board. The Lions Club is a nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to aid those who are sight impaired by providing the funds to raise guide dogs and supporting programs to eradicate blindness. The club also supports local soup kitchens and food pantries and provides scholarships to deserving high school seniors.
