Shaun retired from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) in 2021. During his years with the FDNY, he spent time as a firefighter, as well as a fire marshal (sworn police officer). As a FDNY Fire Marshal, Shaun investigated and determined the origin and cause of hundreds of fires. He conducted numerous arson investigations and testified on numerous occasions as an expert witness. He was an instructor at the FDNY Bureau of Fire Investigation Academy and is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator.
Shaun began law school prior to retiring from the FDNY. After graduating from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, he began his law career at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, assigned to the District Court Bureau. While in District Court, he was assigned hundreds of misdemeanor and violations cases: which included Fire Protection Ordinance violations. Shaun gained valuable knowledge and experience while in District Court. His experience includes pre-trial hearings and trial litigation.
After leaving the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, Shaun worked briefly at a firm handling fire subrogation and insurance defense cases. He joins our firm as an associate attorney with a concentration in civil litigation, criminal defense, real estate and business transactions.
